NEW MOON CLUB: This Sunday!!!
May 5th—Sunday at 5 PM EST. New Moon Club will be a mini Write Away, which means we will go over the key transits from January of this year until now—and compare them against our own timelines. When you look back 14 years from now, what is the story you want to tell about yourself? This is the main question we will explore. We will use our personal trials and triumphs from 2024 so far to deduce an answer.
If you would like to join without becoming a paid subscriber, send me a message~! Sliding scale: $5-$55 dollars to come Sunday, May 5th.

Mind Marinade for the Week of April 29th- May 4th, 2024
Mercury has entered its post retrograde shadow phase— we will be into new degrees by May 13th! What was started during this time, April 2nd to now—or was attempted to begin may have had hiccups or flare ups or completely dissolved. We will have one more week of delays and miscommunications but the residue will clear soon and our path will be smooth until July—and the next Mercury retrograde begins.
Venus enters Taurus today! Venus has access to all her power in Taurus. Expect the month to be steady with pleasure and beauty and jubilant relationships. What did remain from the Mercury retrograde will have sustainability. Venus in Taurus brings stability as much as upgrades to what Venus in Aries initiated: the planting of seeds, the sprouting of stalks, the first blossoms.
Taurus is a fixed sign—Venus in Taurus is the field of flowers in full bloom that lasts from spring into summer. Venus in Taurus is also a strong foundation—Taurus is the flower bed as much as the flowers themselves. Anything that doesn’t last was a weed. Arguably some weeds are worth keeping.
Mars and Neptune have been moving towards a conjunction which exacts today, on the 29th of April. Neptune conjunct Mars brings intuition to our embodiment—spirituality and meditation. But, it could also bring anxiety, fogginess, and dreams. Neptune conjunct Mars is the way our irrational fears influence our behavior.
Use your dreams to motivate you but not to determine or interpret a situation or relationship. Don’t try and read people’s minds—but secure yourself in meeting your own needs. We will have a tendency to delude ourselves. Caution when using your feelings to create your reality. And caution around denying your dreams based on your reality—
Especially on Tuesday when we have the moon in Capricorn sextiling Neptune. This makes us question our ambitions by their convention. Will it be successful? Will it make me money? Am I qualified enough? How is it possible? Might be the voice of some barriers between us and pursuing a vision, a goal, a dream. How much the goal feels at stake is a measure of how badly we want it—not a measure of our ability to pursue or attain it.
What makes a dream a dream is its lack of practicality in some sense—go for it anyway. The Uranus + Jupiter conjunction portal is still open—we can still make quantum leaps, we can still experience miracles. The way to do that is by releasing control outside of yourself and withholding force.
The Cap Moon will also trine Venus in Taurus. Emphasizing the self-parenting, the self-mothering and fathering that we can do. Capricorn moon being the single parenting and Venus in Taurus being the release of control. Be practical but don’t be so much so that you lose the joy of having a dream to chase.
Venus receives. She is not meant to manuveur or orchestrate many parts. Venus in Taurus rewards our ability to let things unfold. Venus directs energy toward you. Be selfish in the sense that prioritizing your needs, values, wants, is how you will attract the person, the job, the quantum leap you desire to make.
Mars moves into Aries on Wednesday, the same day the moon makes it monthly conjunction with Pluto. Life is activated. Pluto and the moon are transforming our feelings—increasing them, giving them shape, life. If this week is a plot line—Wednesday is rising action.
The energy of Pluto and the moon, along with Mars in Aries and Venus in Taurus is the depiction of a princess trying to push a door open to escape—just as the soldier is as well on the other side, and so they they’re counter acting any progress in the goal they actually share. Mars and Venus are both in domicile signs. Mars is Marsing. And Venus is Venusing.
Which means, Mars in Aries is really good at pushing doors open, saving a situation, fighting. And Venus is really good at being a beautiful damsel. The power of Venus in Taurus is her ability to attract. Too much action and force will stand in your own way. However, Taurus rules our throat—which is all about self-acceptance and self-expression. Vocalize your needs, wants, desires: the ones you can not secure yourself, and then let the situation or people show you who they are. Know your worth and who is worthy of saving you.
By the end of the week, the Moon in Aquarius squares the Taurus Sun—things are picking up and ready to be motorized. How we meet our needs, or express ourselves are invited to find new pathways. It might feel radical to do this for some of us—but allow the feeling of having your needs met after expressing them to someone become a muscle memory. Allow this to be the new pattern of recognition when it comes to how you meet your needs.
This transit also compounds with the Jupiter and Uranus energy and brings more opportunity to time travel or connect with long distance relations, communities, health organizations. A square isn’t the most fluid of transits, but it might be the friction we need to get out of the inertia we currently are in—we are bringing prepared for liftoff and that requires effort. That goes against the Taurus grain, but this transit allows us to not get stuck.
Because again by next week, Mercury goes full speed into new territory. Mars in Aries is all about action and Venus is a magnet for attracting relationships we value. It just does require a little preparation. That preparation looks like commiting to your word, self-control, and self-expression.
Phew. The astrology is a whirlwind! Keep going, the wind is at our backs.

There's a lot to ponder here! Thanks for breaking it down so well. I will be attending the new moon club. Love the notion of comparing the transits to our own timelines. I think I saw in another post that you would take a look at our natal charts? Should I send that to you in a dm?
