Saturn + Mercury in the Heart of the Sun
Your Mind Marinade for the week: February 26th-March 2nd, 2024
THE MIND MARINADE
Throughout the week, Mars in Aquarius maintains its square with Jupiter in Taurus. This transit is the opportunity for change within our behavior and in our choices. This is how we solidify the change, prepare for it, make sure the change is sustainable. How we exert the change, rather than respond to it, react to it. We are the change, the change isn’t happening to us.
Flip force on its head—maintain intention and have a vision but don’t be so focused and stubborn to what that looks like that you miss what is in the peripheral view. Also, don’t avoid action because of lack of vision or opportunity. Trust in your body—trust in what you can’t see and in the plethora of ways that the universe may be speaking to you through friends, family, incidents, accidents.
We are deep in Pisces season now. This is nebulous energy. This is intuition at the highest level. The intuition is figurative: its language is symbolic. Look for images, patterns, repetition, dreams and synchronicity, as the arrival of news.
Monday, Virgo moon makes opposition with Neptune in Pisces: To take advantage of this transit spark joy with your feelings. You probably already have been cleaning or rearranging furniture.
Neptune and moon opposition can be overwhelming with emotion and intuition—but Virgo energy will help to declutter your inner world, categorize your intuition, put cute labels on your shadows and then file them accordingly. When they reappear the system of addressing your inner wound will become more efficient. And the dynamic of power will have also shifted. The wound does not control you any longer.
Soul management further evolves with the Virgo moon’s trine to Pluto in Aquarius. Shadows never go away, they transform from subconscious to conscious and today’s energy supports our ability to see our emotional self in a logical and technical way. A feeling of renewal and readiness may over wash us.
Wednesday, Saturn and Mercury and the Sun all make a conjunction. All three celestial bodies land at 9 degrees. Conjunctions with the Sun are also known as cazimi: this is when a planet arrives within 1 degree of it and we call this place, the heart of the Sun. It’s very cozy here. This transit revitalizes.
We could think of each planet as an element. And when they form a conjunction, they create a molecule. So like, the Sun is Hydrogen, but when it is so close to another planet, like Saturn, it’s like Hydrogen bonding with Oxygen—And so of course this changes how the Sun performs. Air becomes water… And both of these elements still provide life—but are consumed and metabolized in very different ways.
So this conjunction becomes a meta planet. Communication (Mercury) meets Ego (Sun), meets Devotion (Saturn). All in Pisces so this mega moment is still very intuitive and spiritual and communal. But the framework or its force or how it arrives to you may feel or look different. Joan of Arc comes to me as an archetype that encapsulates this energy.
And like Joan of Arc’s story, this transit is rooted in messages and insight. Listening is the call to action. Meditation is a surrender—prayer is soft. But Saturn is a reality check, restrictive, punitive. The Sun is super hot. We might receive some tough love. We might encounter some heat. I am thinking about how I woke up to the news of the 25-year-old, Aaron Bushnell, who lit himself on fire in front of the Israel Embassy in Washington D.C. Messages for peace coming in the form of flames.
The messages themselves will be infused by the Sun. This is our life-force. This informs the theme of what will be communicated. Knowing the right question to ask might even be the elucidation with this transit. Which is generally the hardest and most important part of seeking answers. Again remember the Mars square Jupiter may keep our views limited.
Thursday the Scorpio moon extends the intensity but encourages the alchemy of insight, as it trines the Sun, Saturn and Mercury. This is not a transit that keeps us stuck. This is a week full of momentum and change even if it feels harsh at moments. When you feel discouraged and redirected return to this idea: the universe has a plan for me. Attachment to your plan is the only resistance to allowing the universe to facilitate its plan.
The Sun’s sextile to Jupiter will deepen our faith and intuition. It will sturdy our belief in what we cannot see. It will make reception to what our call of duty is clear, profound and acceptable. Meaning we won’t find resistance to it.
Venus in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus ends our week. Venus in Aquarius understands that being your most individual self is how to best serve others. Uranus in Taurus may challenge this, may ask us to renovate or refurbish our values around how self-accepting we are. Uranus may test us by putting us in situations where we notice how weird we are—and it is simply an opportunity to self-love the shit out of yourself.
Aquarius is the intellectual and individual. With all the emotional and spiritual waves of this week, reprieve comes by centering with yourself. A square can be a challenging aspect so there may be obstacles in your way of getting that alone time you crave.
Thank you as always for meeting me in this space. I would love to hear any stories about how the astrology is showing up for you!!
