Sunday March 3rd: Venus in Aquarius Squares Uranus in Taurus
Venus rules Taurus and Uranus rules Aquarius but right now, Uranus is in Taurus and Venus is in Aquarius—we have planets in signs that are natural rulers of the planet they are squaring.
Venus represents relationships, values, what we attract. Venus is the batting of eye lashes. It flirts through moving very little—Only the eyelashes. Taurus is stillness. Venus receives. Venus is not doing the work, but saying, you can work, you can show me why I should let you into my aura.
And in Aquarius, Venus is not batting its lashes for just anyone. Primarily because it doesn’t see the value in mascara—that hides our authentic beauty. Although it could tell you scientifically why big eyes are attractive.
This is what makes Venus in Aquarius so appealing: they know who they are and what they are worth. They have a strong bond with their preferences and Aquarius is a fixed sign, they are unwavering.
Uranus is lightening. Erratic movements—striking. There is nothing fluid about Uranus although there is much advancement. Flashes of insight, bolts of epiphany—Uranus is revelation and breakthroughs through being the unadulterated self.
This could be a time of great evolution in what your preferences are and a preview of what boundaries need changing. You could also be noticing how living through your authentic expression is expanding or propelling you forward.
Your preferences could change with this transit—at least be challenged. This exposes for us where we are limiting what we attract by being inflexible. Where could you be more receptive and welcoming vs. what standards need tightening—while still being authentic? When we change, so does what we want and what we find attractive. Self-expansion means our boundaries grow too.
The North Node in Aries and Chiron have been conjunct at 17 degrees since February 26th. This transit brings to the forefront the ways we bend our boundaries to identify with someone else.
You know how Kourtney Kardashian used to wear pastels and now she primarily wears black now that she is married to the drummer from Blink 182. No? Ok—fair. It’s my Gemini moon that loves trash TV and gossip. But anyway— you probably know, that person who becomes whoever they date. Like, if they’re dating a doctor, they start wearing scrubs to bed. Or, your friend who never leaves the city suddenly goes camping because she met a guy who loves hiking.
Aries North Node people are so deeply in search of themselves that they become whoever is closest to them. Because this can give them a sense of self-knowing. But it isn’t sustainable or authentic.
The Aries North Node lesson is teaching us the command in being ourself. We are not in service to our relationships when we become who we love. Through self-development, through self-knowing we attract the right partners. It isn’t that we need to be alone or hyper independent in order to find ourselves. But it is through authentic independence and autonomy that our relationships will benefit. Aries North Node people have a tendency to sacrifice their identity for the sake of supporting other people.
So anyway, this in tandem with the Venus in Aquarius square to Uranus in Taurus can really help with our individuality as a way to sourcing romance, to attracting and manifesting our values, our material goals. But also just ultimately feeling deeply connected to others because both these transits are helping us to know we are and what our boundaries are and how to express and manage and maintain them in a supremely authentic manner—without guilt because Aquarius gives zero fucks about your feelings—Generally speaking of course.
Tuesday, March 5th, Mercury in Pisces sextiles Uranus in Aquarius.
This week is ripe to develop our intuition. And this transit is just one of them. Mercury in Pisces is communication with the spiritual—with the subconscious, with spirit guides, with our third-eye. Mercury in Pisces has the potential for all the clairs: voyance, sentience, embodiment, audience, cognizance +++
Mercury sextiles Uranus, the planet of lightbulb moments, flashes of insight, random epiphanies, surprising glimmers of inspiration. A fantastic day to brainstorm, to be literally open minded, to meditate with an unzipped consciousness. Journaling promises insight. All sorts of communication will be revealing.
Mercury is also between the Sun and Neptune right now—all in Pisces. And making its way to Neptune which it will meet at 27 degrees by Saturday. Neptune is ruler of Pisces so we are deep in the intuitive waters. In some sense communication may get foggier—it’s like hearing under water.
We can sharpen our senses that we don’t use often with this transit. If you close your eyes, how does that help you hear louder or heighten your embodiment. If you plug ears, how does that help you see more. If you eat with your eyes closed, what do you smell? And what memory or message does that conjure? This is an invitation to find guidance through engaging all of our senses and through trusting our gut.
The other midweek challenge will be the moon in Capricorn, who wonders what is the practicality of a dream, how can I make money from it? Is a dream worth anything if it can’t provide financial security? What value is in dreams?
Without being our own dreamkiller, with intention we can ask how to make our imagination work for us. How can we use our intution to function? We can ask our intuition: what steps do we need to take to build a foundation for making our dreams a reality? We can ask our intuition if our dreams are authentic or are they the dreams we were conditioned to dream? Capricorn energy is conventional energy. In what ways do our dreams align with the conventions we no longer value? The articulation of this will set us free to dream authentically.
Then Saturday in tandem with the Mercury Neptune conjunction, Mars in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus. I can’t help but make an Oppenheimer reference. He was a theorist—which feels very Mercury Neptune conjunction. Ideas that stay in the realm of fog. Ideas proven by other ideas. Ideals vs facts.
The only way to know if a theory is right or wrong is to test it. If Mars is action, choice and assertion. And Uranus is ideas and intellect. Then Mars square Uranus feels like putting a theory to test. We can’t think our way to answers with this transit. The only way to come to a conclusion is to run experiments. We just may be surprised by what we thought.
This week helps us to integrate our intution into action. We must feel and do. Dream and DO. Otherwise we may not like how we feel—And don’t be so stuck to thinking you know anything with certainty because that resistance will make whatever surprises and inspirations inevitably arriving with Uranus much less enjoyable to receive. Break your fall—don’t let your fall break you—you know?
Love,
Sarah
