TLDR: Aries Season begins, Venus Saturn conjunction, Neptune Cazimi,Mars enters Pisces, Leo and Virgo moon oppositions, Jupiter gains proximity to Uranus. ECLIPSE SEASON, Mercury RX preshadow begins March 19th.
The Sun and Neptune kiss (cazimi) at 27 degrees of Pisces on Sunday—the makeout session continues until Monday—and then they slowly come up for air as the Sun moves into Aries. These planets will still be considered conjunct although in two different signs.
The Sun is our ego, light, main source. And Neptune brings fantasy, dreams, imagination, intuition, romance. Neptune frolics—is frills—it’s extra. Neptune is photo filters. It’s your face but romanticized. It’s catfishing at worst—because if we are not secure with our ego, then we feel the need to bait people with our inauthenticity. This transit will help us see our filters, discern how, when and why we are using them, if at all. And perhaps, really enjoy just being our naked selves. This transit is giving golden hour lighting.
The conjunction merging between Pisces and Aries is also emphasizing our relationship with boundaries. Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac—the space holder between reality and fantasy. Aries initiates the zodiac calendar—it’s our root chakra, our instincts, our primal needs, our inner infant. And the basic impulses to protect and nourish her/him/them.
But this Neptune cazimi ends with the Sun in Aries—which shines light on our needs. Not wants—because again Aries is primal. It’s survival. It’s the answer to how do I stay me? How does the management of your boundaries maintain your sense of self—how does it drain you of yourself? When we have loose boundaries, we lose ourself.
Especially, too as the moon spends time in Leo and opposes Pluto and then Mars—and also the Mercury in Aries conjunction with the North Node. All of this energy is prompting our self-awareness—and our abilities to embody it (Mars) and communicate it (Mercury).
The good news is that the Neptune cazimi does bring lovey dovey blissy kissy vibes as much as opportunity to self-examine our use with filters. And, adding to the emotional component is Venus in Pisces and the Moon in Cancer making a trine on Monday. It makes accessing our vulnerability more manageable because our emotions will be on the surface.
Cancer moons—like the crab move sideways. So, we might find alternatives in how to express ourselves that feel insightful and successful. It could also manifest as passive aggressiveness or anxiety because Cancer is the sea, so our capacity to feel is oceanic. Our feelings can overwhelm us and so we revert back to our shell—lying to ourselves as a way to avoid what we really feel because it is so much.
But Cancer moon energy reminds us that our emotions are your intelligence. Source them to understand the situation. Be tender to your emotions, to yourself. Be shellfish—selfish. The advice is to manage yourself. Feel your feelings—not anyone else’s. What emotions belong to you may be tested by Neptune. But again—this is useful to understand your boundaries. Don’t project them onto someone else for catharsis. Only you can release the emotions you have and that’s by owning them.
Then, Tuesday, Mercury in Aries makes a conjunction with the North Node. The helpful thing to remember as we fight with our loved ones is to see these conflicts and confrontations as opportunity to see ourselves. Who am I when I fight? What are my needs when I’m arguing with someone? What are my triggers? What are my strategies in communication when I’m expressing what I need? What are my needs in these moments specifically? And how does honoring them become the pathway to reciprocity, symbiosis, and temperance with the people I love but also argue?
Aries North Node teaches us how being our self is the strategy to solid relationships. Mercury in Aries is bringing heat to our communications and connections. It is speed—so if you find yourself going fast—pause—breathe—go medium.
Wednesday—the Leo Moon makes an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius. All of the planets have been moving away from Pluto—which feels right for planet of our radical individualism. Most Leo moons whose charts I have seen are educators—the way they take up space is of service to others as much as for their own authentic purposes. They want others to shine.
And, in several cases, what the Leo moon was teaching was theater or some artistic and creative form of expression. Pretty on the nose for Leo. This opposition helps us to not only embrace our individuality but express it.
And if we aren’t comfortable with that, doing shadow work on what keeps us in the dark, will be supported by Pluto who represents our ability to intensely transform. Whatever insights are gained will be embodied as the Leo moon oppposes Mars in Aquarius.
Further support comes with the sextile Pluto makes to the Sun as it enters Aries and initiates the astrological new year. It is officially Aries Season on the 20th of March. Aries is ruled by Mars. So the Sun in Aries—is helping our ego take action and make choices. It’s hunter vibes. Aries is a warrior. The energy is masculine so it exerts itself, rather than receives like Venus.
The only warning again is to pace yourself. The faster things are done, the faster they become undone. Pluto can be a wrecking ball—and demolition is a part of the reconstruction process. Some boundaries may actually be walls that are blocking us from being vulnerable in an authentic way. In this case, we should let Pluto tear them down. Or, alternatively choose to breakthrough our own fears ourself and bypass the clean up that inevitably comes with using sledgehammers.
Helping to rebuild them is Uranus in Taurus—which it has been doing for a long while now. Since, 2018. We’ve been evaluating and experimenting with the structures of our values without any proof or validation that their foundation is strong. For many the results of our tests have been that our foundations are weak. In surprising ways we have been called to start over. Repeat. It feels like we’ve been training for something but the event hasn’t been booked. Or, maybe even accepting that we’re not winning gold even though we still have to compete. Like, we usually already know who the contenders are before the race begins.
With the Taurus energy, it could be about strengthening our ability to wait. I’m a Taurus, of course I’m impatient.
But the really good news is that Jupiter is gaining proximity. And by the 20th of April, they will form an exact conjunction. And what was just hope, vision, belief—becomes relief. This transit is a turning point. If you’ve built it, they will come. Just maybe not when or how you expected it.
And Mars in Pisces, which it ingresses into on Saturday, may expand what it means to compete—and what it means to win. If Mars is a soldier, in Pisces it waves a white flag. It’s willing to surrender and to sacrifice its ego. This transit brings compromise to our relationships. It has a variety of tactics for what winning looks like.
I recently encountered this idea from a wealth embodiment guru on IG: that the thing between you and money is responsibility. Which was a big lightbulb moment for me because I had been avoiding responsiblity and to no surprise money was avoiding me.
But this reminds me of the invitation brought to us with the conjunction between Venus and Saturn in Pisces—which ends our week. Venus is material assets, she is our ability to attract money. She informs us of how we would like to make money.
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn—this is the energy of work, of responsibilty, of provision. It’s the effort we put into honoring our commitments.
Simply: if you want more money, then increase your responsibilities. But of course it isn’t this simple. We can’t just work to work. Life is meaningless this way. And Pisces is our spirituality—this is the guts of meaning. And Venus is our values. So, this transit especially is asking us to weave purpose with practice.
And, this is also a pretty privileged point of view—sometimes we do have to sacrifice a dream in order to survive for the time being. Imagine being in Gaza…
But if you can follow your dreams—do it for Palestine. Do it because they can’t, and you can. And remember them as you do. Because their only dream right now is a permanent ceasefire.
We can also look at survival as being on the path to our creativity. It’s the first step. Saturn is our efforts over time—and everything is temporary. This is what gives Saturn urgency—he knows nothing lasts.
This transit asks: if you’re not making money, or if the money you’re making is not fulfilling you, not satiating you, then evaluate how your work is aligning with your values. Saturn in Pisces is systems. It’s a riverbed. It’s the structure for something to flow. Venus in Pisces informs the material of our flow, is the river.
Saturn brings results to our efforts. Being self-aware is partly in our ability to take accountability. And this isn’t just for what we do wrong—this is also for what we do well. If you are meant to command then don’t submit. If you’re a leader, don’t follow. You are the light, so don’t live in the shadows. Being authentic is being responsible and it’s your responsibility to embody it. The more we align with our values the more our relationships will flow. The more we maintain our boundaries, the less our emotional encounters will flood.
