While this month has been draining and full of interpersonal turmoil—inner, outer or both, the astrology is here to teach us about how we fight. How do we manage our needs, especially the ones that only others can give us? How do we maintain independence while still allowing others to take care of some of our needs. We don’t have to do it all on our own, but how often do we choose to and then wonder why we are so discontented?
This full moon in Aquarius is in an invitation to be our most peculiar self by reflecting off our relationships. Aquarius finds itself forming an identity by juxtaposing the self against others. Aquarians need freedom, but that often means, needing to be captured in order to escape. Or if they are a mound of clay, part of their identity is formed by how they are molded, shaped and are moved by others.
It’s easy to feel individualistic, when we are the only moon in the sky. But how do we stay a full moon, when there are other moons next to us? That is the expertise of an Aquarius. How do we not dim ourselves, or disappear in order to make room. The Aquarius full moon is bringing opportunity to learn how to remain authentic, name our boundaries, while relating, albeit fighting with others.
If you have been experiencing confrontations, arguments, we can also look to Venus and Mars which have been conjunct this month, in the sign of Leo. The sign Leo, the lion, is the inner child of Aquarius. They are opposite each other in the zodiac wheel. More Simba than Mufasa, Leo grows into Aquarius. The desert king, becomes the heat itself, the sun. This full moon, is like when Simba stops running and goes back to the pride to face his fears. It also takes Nala, to convince him of who he is and his duties.
The moon has phases. It is only in its full phase for a few days, before it begins to wane again. And then it does sometimes even go missing, like in a void of course. But, the moon will wax, little by little, until it becomes full again. We don’t always have to do it all on our own. There will be times, when we can, and when we can give more light to others as well. This full moon is a reminder that the best way to relate to others to learn how to relate to yourself.
